White feather

A widely held spiritual view is that "when feathers appear, angels are near". Finding a feather—especially a white one in an unexpected location—is often interpreted as a comforting message that your guardian angels are watching over you or that loved ones in heaven are at peace.

This lightweight feather brooch is made from shades of white, palest tan and fronds of mauve. There is a beautiful trace of the finest glitter throughout some of the cut pieces. The design lends itself to the delicacy of feathers and the individual cuts in the acrylics ensure that no two are ever the same.

Measuring 70mm x 23mm.

As seen on the last picture, I have use a tie pin finding to attach this brooch to clothing. I have done this to prevent the brooch from rocking from side to side (because of it being long and narrow by design) as was apparent from my tester piece. The tin pin also, as it turns out, allows for an element of movement, which is rather nice when worn. I can however attach a bar finding on request.
