Purple Moon Hare

The hare is loved in folklore, particularly in Scotland, where it was believed witches could transform into hares to evade capture or perform mischief.

The Hare Moon, the traditional Celtic name for May's full moon, symbolises renewal, fertility, and the arrival of spring. Although a Blue Moon usually refers to the second full moon in a calendar month, rare atmospheric conditions can cause the moon to appear blue—or even purple. Some modern moon enthusiasts also affectionately refer to a second full moon in April as a Purple Moon, inspired by the blending of the Pink Moon and the Blue Moon.

So you see, I couldn't have picked a better acrylic for this beautiful brooch. I've deliberately taken quite a few pictures of the same brooch, to capture all the colours in different lights.
