Chestnut the hedgehog.

£42.00 GBP

Well, here we are – look at this wee 'chestnut'!
When a customer from Orkney asked if one day I'd make a hedgehog, the cogs started turning straight away on this design. I knew I wanted to create something worthy of the real thing.

The individual tiered levels, set at spiky angles were a challenge indeed but I hope you'll agree that here, sophistication meets quirky and fun.

Then there were the acrylic choices! It was hard for me to restrict myself to browns only because I'm a bit of a colour addict (I did have to do a colourful tester to satisfy my jangled nerves!), but my, my! The mix of these autumnal colours in glitter, ripple, swirl acrylics worked wonderfully and were ultimately elemental in the naming of the piece.

That said, I've made a variant just in case anyone would like a brightly coloured one. (Clearly there's no saving me!) See the last pic - it's a tester piece hence the background! Let's call it 'Tutti-frutti', see in my shop listings.

Measuring 53mm × 43mm.
