Chestnut the hedgehog.

Well, here we are – look at this wee 'chestnut'! When a lass from Orkney asked if one day I'd make a hedgehog, the cogs started turning straight away on this design. I knew I wanted to achieve something impressive, but even I am bowled over by how gorgeous this piece is. The individual tiered levels, set at spiky angles, make it quirky and fun, and hint at the real thing.

And then there were the acrylic choices! It was hard for me to restrict myself to browns only because I'm a bit of a colour addict (I did have to do a colourful tester to satisfy my jangled nerves!), but my, my! The mix of these autumnal glitter, ripple, and swirl acrylics works wonderfully.
